Gallery Kaleidoscope was established over 25 years ago and yet is constantly still being discovered as a vibrant voice in the art world.
The business was initially an offspring of Scope Antiques but soon took off as a major force in its own right. The policy of the Gallery is simple but successful: TO FIND NEW TALENT AND DISPLAY IT ALONGSIDE ESTABLISHED NAMES. Both the contemporary and antique are represented. Both are offered at the most reasonable prices

The Saatchi Gallery has always aimed to provide an innovative forum for contemporary art, presenting work by largely unseen young artists or by established international artists whose work has been rarely or never exhibited in the UK.
The audience for exhibitions of contemporary art has increased widely during the last ten years as general awareness and interest in contemporary art has developed in Britain.
When The Saatchi Gallery first opened twenty years ago it was only those people who had a dedicated interest in contemporary art who sought out the gallery to see work by new artists. The audience, however, built steadily over the years and the gallery now receives over 600,000 visitors a year, and over 1,000 schools have organised student visits.
Many artists showing at The Saatchi Gallery are unknown when first exhibited, not only to the general public but also to the commercial art world. Many of these artists are subsequently offered shows by galleries and museums internationally. In this effect, the gallery also operates as a springboard for young artists to launch their careers.
The Saatchi is closed until the end of 2006 when it reopens in Chelsea. Picture by Martin Maloney courtesey of Saatchi Gallery.

The Rebecca Hossack Gallery (RHG) in central London was opened by Rebecca Hossack in March 1988.
Over the years it has established itself as one of the most exciting and innovative galleries in London. Its programme combines the very best of Non-Western Art with work by some of the strongest and most individual artists working within the Western tradition.
The RHG was the first gallery in Europe to show Australian Aboriginal Art - and its influential, annual Songlines¹ seasons have introduced much of the enormous range and strength of a contemporary Aboriginal Art Movement to the British audience.

Spectrum London has been encouraging and supporting exciting British and International contemporary artists since its beginning. From the outset, the galleries directors believed that neither artists nor art lovers needed just another gallery. What was needed was an environment that not only encouraged artists to explore and develop their natural talents, but most importantly, one that supported them in this process

Flowers East presents imposing and penetrating self-portraits by the acclaimed British painter Lucy Jones. Jones studied at Camberwell School of Art, followed by the Royal College, where she won a Rome scholarship in 1982. It was in Rome that she first used herself as a model; and it was this act of looking that began her examination of her sense of self, resulting in powerful images of striking, moving simplicity.

Badcocks Gallery has a reputation as an approachable, ‘unstuffy’ yet upmarket gallery. The atmosphere is informal, but professional. The work they show varies from abstraction to figurative and occasionally landscape based. It should be stressed that whatever work shown is quality, sometimes quirky. Badcocks have set a precedent that not all the work you see in Cornwall is pretty; their clients have come to expect challenging and interesting work that is thought provoking as well being well executed.
“I think the secret to our success is that we are a friendly and down to earth gallery, we cultivate relationships with our clients as well as our artists. We have had world-renowned artists show with us, such as Sir Terry Frost; Karl Weshke; Rose Hilton and Sandra Blow; however we are always interested in showcasing new talent. We estimate that 80% of our artists are sourced from the West Country, our gallery reflects the standard of excellence that has become a trade mark for Cornish art.” says Fiona. “We make a point of getting to know our client’s tastes, what they collect, and are always actively looking out for work on their behalf, updating them with images of their favourite artists’ work as and when it becomes available.”

Welcome to Poussin Gallery. For our first few seasons of exhibitions, our preoccupation will centre on some of the abstract art that was produced in this country in the latter part of the twentieth century. We hope to look at the development of certain canons of abstraction in the sixties, seventies and eighties, as well as the professional development of some notable individual artists. We see the abstract painting and sculpture of this period as important because it forms part of a direct link to some of the best visual art of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and was made at a time when there was a clearer commitment by artists to painting and sculpture being, first and foremost, visual disciplines. Looking at this work again may help us to identify where abstraction might go next, and we hope such speculations will be the subject of future shows. However, the best reason for seeking out some of this rarely seen work is the sheer enjoyment of its quality.
