The Saatchi Gallery has always aimed to provide an innovative forum for contemporary art, presenting work by largely unseen young artists or by established international artists whose work has been rarely or never exhibited in the UK.

The audience for exhibitions of contemporary art has increased widely during the last ten years as general awareness and interest in contemporary art has developed in Britain.

When The Saatchi Gallery first opened twenty years ago it was only those people who had a dedicated interest in contemporary art who sought out the gallery to see work by new artists. The audience, however, built steadily over the years and the gallery now receives over 600,000 visitors a year, and over 1,000 schools have organised student visits.

Many artists showing at The Saatchi Gallery are unknown when first exhibited, not only to the general public but also to the commercial art world. The  Rebecca Hossack Gallery (RHG) in central London was opened by Rebecca
Hossack in March 1988.

Over the years it has established itself as one of the most exciting and
innovative galleries in London. Its programme combines the very best of
Non-Western Art with work by some of the strongest and most individual

The  RHG was the first gallery in Europe to show Australian  Aboriginal Art
- and its influential, annual Songlines¹ seasons have introduced much of
the enormous range and strength of a contemporary Aboriginal Art Movement to

Toni Heath Gallery opened in 2004 in the heart of Bloomsbury as a showcase for emerging contemporary artists whose work is challenging and thought provoking whilst maintaining a beautiful aesthetic.

Concentrating mainly, although not exclusively, on painting, the gallery has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most innovative spaces in London.

From its beginnings in a small kiosk in Birmingham's BullRing, Ikon's reputation for innovation, internationalism and excellence has developed over 40 years. Now housed in the neo-gothic Oozells Street School, Ikon has an artistic programme consisting of three interdependent strands.

The Gallery features temporary exhibitions over two floors totalling 450 square metres . A variety of media are represented, including sound, film, mixed media, photography, painting, sculpture and installation.

This contemporary art gallery in Arundel, West Sussex, exhibits work by both local and international artists, well known and not so well known.

Works on show include contemporary painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and includes both original pieces and artist prints.

The objective is to present a mix of art both in terms of content and media, which work as well together as they do on their own

Gagosian Gallery is pleased to announce a large-scale installation by the Italian artist Mario Merz (1925 - 2003). The work, titled "8-5-3," was first shown at Kunsthaus Zurich in 1985 and it features three igloos constructed from metal and glass, covered with fragments of clamps and twigs, and linked by neon tubes. The phrase "Objet cache-toi" or ‘a hiding place' stretches across the structure in red neon lights

Flowers East presents imposing and penetrating self-portraits by the acclaimed British painter Lucy Jones. Jones studied at Camberwell School of Art, followed by the Royal College, where she won a Rome scholarship in 1982. It was in Rome that she first used herself as a model; and it was this act of looking that began her examination of her sense of self, resulting in powerful images of striking, moving simplicity.
